re: that flowchart that’s going around.

I once made a 3,000 word “baby’s first Radiohead” guide to get someone into Radiohead, and I basically advised:

1. OK Computer

2. Did you like the song-y songs [Karma Police, Electioneering] better, or the more disjointed ones [really any of the others]? Song songs- go to The Bends, the others-go to Kid A

3. From Kid A, go to Amnesiac [the albums are intertwined in my mind] OR from the Bends go to Kid A

4. From Amnesiac, go to the Bends then Hail to the Thief, then In Rainbows, then The King of Limbs. OR:

5. from Kid A, go to Amnesiac, then Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows, then the King of Limbs.

6. Then, after much listening, go to Pablo Honey

To me, OK, Kid A and Amnesiac are the best albums and the ones you should start with, but I know they aren’t for everyone, so the Bends cushion could help the more reluctant sorts.
