A love letter to Radiohead fans,
Hi guys. Look. The internet, and tumblr especially, has cooled my love for certain shows and the like- because I find their fans annoying. That’s why I’ve never really liked the concept of “fandom” because invariably, when I find people on the internet who like what I like, they ruin it. [one on one it’s still great, but large “fandoms” or whatever annoy me]
But then. You guys have done the exact opposite. You’ve intensified my love for this band. And all the pictures, all the love,how we all cry over the livestreams together, it’s so lovely. I guess I understand what “fandom” means now. Even though I don’t talk to a lot of you guys, we are still one big, happy family united by our obsessive love for those five Oxford blokes.
And I do want to get to know a lot of you guys better, because you are favourite sorts of people, and I really want to be friends with you all.
If you wanna talk, just shoot me a message and tell me, like, your favourite b-side or Thom hairstyle or something, anything. I need more Radiohead friends. :)
